anthony delpech

Anthony was born in Seychelles. He moved to South Africa when he was 13 years old.. He attended the South African Jockeys Academy for 5 years where he was champion apprentice.
In 1998/99 Anthony won the Met and July in the same year and decided to go for the championship.
He has won the South African jockeys championship twice and he still holds the South African record of 335 winners in one season.
After winning the championship Anthony decided he had achieved everything he wanted to in South Africa so he decide to go to Hong Kong where he was very successful.He won the Sheema Classic in Dubai in 2007 on Dubai World Cup night which was the highlight of his career. Anthony has also ridden in Singapore, Dubai, Mauritius and Hong Kong.
Anthony is now back riding in South Africa. He feels very honoured and blessed to be a part of the Nicholas Rey Foundation as he would like to help in anyway he can to make people aware of this fantastic Foundation in helping people who have been through such a tragic life changing accident.
