The Nicholas Rey Foundation Trust was launched on 15 October 2005 at the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom. The Parton of the Foundation is Nicholas Rey, son of our very own Penny Coelen Rey and her husband, Micky Rey.

On the 27th of June 2004, Nicholas played in a polo tournament in KwaZulu-Natal, and on that day his life changed forever. A freak accident on the polo field left him with a severe brainstem injury and completely dependant on others. He cannot move or speak, but remains an avid horse lover and his determination to live makes it an honor to link his name to this drive.

The aim and objective for which the Trust has been constituted are to utilize the capital and income of the Trust for donations to be made from time to time to the beneficiaries of the Trust who shall be individuals who have been injured in a horse riding related accident resulting in neurological or physical trauma to such person and/or to institutions and/or organizations which provide for the rehabilitation and after care of persons who have been so injured.
